Interim Critical Care Director

Job Description

We are seeking an Interim Critical Care Director to oversee our CVICU, ICU, and the future SICU. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in critical care management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction across the CVICU and ICU, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Integrate ICU care models across various units to enhance patient outcomes and team collaboration.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives focusing on metrics such as CLABSIs, CAUTIs, VAP, and Sepsis.
  • Manage budget development, productivity, and capital budget planning to optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission readiness and CMS standards.
  • Oversee interdisciplinary collaboration and optimize ICU flow for enhanced patient care delivery.
  • Foster a culture of transformation within the unit, effectively managing diverse teams.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • 2 to 5 years of nurse manager or director experience.
  • BSN required; MSN or MBA preferred.
  • Clinical or management experience in medical ICU and CVICU.
  • CCRN certification is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality metrics and performance improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cultural change and managing resistance in diverse teams.
Schedule

This is a full-time position with a commitment to 40 hours per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
