Position Summary
The Assistant Living Director supports the overall management and daily operations of a small, 5-bed assisted living facility. This role ensures high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance with Minnesota assisted living standards, and a safe, compassionate home environment. The Assistant Living Director works closely with staff, residents, families, and external providers to maintain excellence in care and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Â Assist in overseeing daily facility operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioningÂ
- Â Support implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with Minnesota assisted living regulationsÂ
- Â Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentationÂ
- Â Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate coverageÂ
Resident Care & Services
- Â Ensure residents receive individualized, person-centered careÂ
- Â Monitor resident well-being and coordinate care with healthcare providersÂ
- Â Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionallyÂ
- Â Support admissions, assessments, and service plan developmentÂ
- Assist in insuring Facility is in full compacityÂ
Staff Supervision & Development
- Â Assist in hiring, training, and supervising caregiving staffÂ
- Â Promote a positive, team-oriented work environmentÂ
- Â Ensure staff adherence to care standards and facility policiesÂ
- Â Provide coaching, feedback, and performance supportÂ
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Â Help maintain compliance with Minnesota Department of Health assisted living regulationsÂ
- Â Participate in audits, inspections, Surveys and quality improvement initiativesÂ
- Â Ensure proper medication management practices are followed (if applicable)Â
- Â Monitor infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness proceduresÂ
Financial & Resource Support
- Â Assist with budgeting, supply management, and cost controlÂ
- Â Monitor inventory and order necessary suppliesÂ
