Overview

Fellowship Square is seeking an Activities Director for our Independent Living residents to bring energy, creativity, and compassion to our vibrant senior living community. This is more than a job, it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by enriching the lives of our residents through engaging, purposeful, and joyful programs.

About the Role

As the Activities Director, you will design and oversee a diverse range of social, educational, and recreational programs that support the cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being of our residents. You will lead a team of support staff, volunteers, and drivers, while collaborating closely with our Memory Support Engagement Coordinators.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all activity programs for our Independent Living residents, including transportation for off-site events.
  • Prepare resident activity assessments to tailor programs to their interests.
  • Supervise activities, support staff, drivers, and volunteers.
  • Design monthly newsletters and calendars for Independent Living residents.
  • Plan and promote community events, seminars, and special celebrations.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient use of spaces, equipment, and transportation.
  • Maintain budget oversight and track department expenditures.
  • Keep our residents informed and engaged through posters, bulletin boards, and digital communications.
  • Serve as a shining example of the values and mission of Fellowship Square.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (experience in senior care may substitute).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with senior activities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Compassionate, energetic, and self-directed.
  • Tech-savvy and capable of using basic design or word processing software for newsletters/calendars.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.
