The Senior Project Manager will oversee a team consisting potentially of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Project Assistants. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects. This position will require supervision/influence of the interaction with a customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business development activities associated with customers included but not limited to; travel to customer’s place of business or venue, meeting with customer and providing prepared presentation of capabilities, entertaining customers, team building events with customers, recruitment of business, etc.
  • Participate in proposal activities to ensure customer’s expectation will be met and scope of services are complete. This may include pre and post bid meetings and job walks
  • Assigns and coordinates direct reports to various duties as required for project execution and in conjunction with the Director of Project Management
  • Project staffing needs to meet assigned project requirements
  • Ensures a high level of quality to all project deliverables
  • Manages overall project cost, schedule and scope of work
  • Maintains high level contact with customer over life of project to ensure appropriate level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Is responsible for providing direction to or implementing remediation to resolve conflicts or disputes with the customer
  • Directly supervises team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Crest's and Beta's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Project Management.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Performs quality work within deadlines without direct supervision. Interacts professionally with other employees, customers and project team members.
  • Actively hire, train, develop, supervise and retain quality employees within their team.
  • Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, teams, subcontractors and organizations.
  • Must display an attitude and attributes that positively reflects Beta’s values.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ten or more years of high voltage related experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an applicable field of study. Must be knowledgeable of general civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical industries.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Will work in an office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards. May involve prolonged periods of sitting and frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Use of a company vehicle, on occasion. A successful Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required.
  • This position is required to work in the field. When asked to do so, the conditions and requirements change to address special needs while working on an active job site. Please refer to the addendum “Working in the Field” for information about requirements and conditions to be met while working in the field.
