This leader is accountable for driving competitive positioning, profitability optimization, and seamless client and advisor experiences across all digital channels, while maintaining rigorous compliance and risk management standards.
What will you do?
Credit Card Product Strategy & P&L Management
- Own and manage the P&L for the wealth management credit card product suite, including revenue forecasting, expense control, fee optimization, and profitability metrics
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for credit card expansion, identifying and building differentiated offerings (e.g., tiered rewards programs, specialty cards, bespoke features) tailored to HNW client needs
- Conduct continuous competitive analysis of the credit card landscape within the wealth management and premium banking sectors to ensure RBC's pricing, features, rewards programs, and capabilities remain best-in-class
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to assess product health, adoption, profitability, and risk exposure
- Manage product pricing, fees, and terms in close coordination with Credit Risk, Treasury, and Compliance teams to balance competitiveness with appropriate risk exposure
Product Execution and Digital Delivery
- Champion the successful delivery and execution of credit card products, translating complex business requirements into clear digital specifications for Technology, Operations, and Risk teams
- Optimize client and advisor experiences across all channels (digital portals, mobile, advisor desktop) to improve product services, simplify the application and onboarding process, and enhance ongoing support
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from strategy and feature development through deployment, adoption, and post-launch monitoring
- Lead product enhancements and innovation initiatives to ensure intuitive usability, transparency, and operational efficiency in credit card workflows and client interfaces
- Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for credit card products, maintaining deep understanding of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging market trends
Risk, Compliance, and Field Enablement
- Collaborate closely with Credit Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to maintain full regulatory adherence (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, credit card regulations, anti-money laundering requirements) while innovating products
- Work with the field enablement and sales teams to develop sophisticated training, marketing campaigns, and sales collateral that equip Financial Advisors to effectively position credit card solutions within comprehensive wealth planning strategies
- Partner with Operations to streamline back-office processes related to card issuance, activation, support, and dispute resolution, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction
- Establish and monitor risk controls, fraud mitigation strategies, and compliance protocols to protect the firm and its clients
Cross-Functional Leadership and Vendor Management
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams to bring new products and enhancements to market
- Evaluate, select, and manage vendor relationships for credit card processing, issuing platforms, and rewards program services, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and cost efficiency
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and technical requirements clearly to executive leadership, technology partners, and field advisory groups
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities in the HNW credit card space and potential competitive threats
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- Minimum 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in financial services, with substantial focus on credit card product management, consumer lending, or wealth management product delivery

- Direct experience managing a credit card platform or card origination system, particularly in integration with wealth management custody or advisory platforms
- Familiarity with the high-net-worth market, private banking, or wealth management product ecosystems
