Merchants Bank, Winona, has an opening for a part-time Credit Admininistration Support Specialist.  This position will be 25-30 hours/week Monday - Friday.  Typical hours are 8am - 1:30pm.

This detailed position involves comprehending, organizing, and uploading scanned documents into a retention software.  Also involves pulling and distributing and filing loan files.  This position will also support other post loan transaction file maintenance responsibilities.  Must be organized, detail oriented, be able to work independently, and have good computer skills.

Job Summary:

Work is performed under minimal supervision according to established procedures; emphasis of this position is to comprehend, organize, and place scanned documents into the bank’s file retention software (LQAS).  The individual serving in this role needs to have a good understanding of technology and be able to develop additional skill sets associated with scanning software and proper image development within bank files.  This role will also develop additional skills to further support other post loan transaction file maintenance responsibilities.

Responsibilities also include pulling and distributing loan files to various employees, filing paid off mortgage loan files, transporting files between bank locations as needed, and assisting with the disposition of paid loan files that have passed the retention period date.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Scan and direct already scanned documents into LQAS
  • Verify quality of scanned documents and ensure a quality image is produced
  • File source documents that have been scanned in permanent storage as needed
  • Assist with special projects including bulk file storage clean-up
  • Develop additional skills to aid as pool support for Post Close and Import Teams within Credit Administration - assisting with loan funding, loan document review and importing of loan documents into LQAS.
  • Perform scanner maintenance to ensure quality on all documents
  • Conduct research as needed
  • File and pull all types of loan files as requested
  • Ensure some physical files are transported appropriately between bank locations
  • Assist each year with the disposition of paid files that have passed the retention period date
  • Employee will be expected to take responsibility to ensure that internal and external customers receive exceptional customer service and maintain customer/employee confidentiality.
  • Employee will be expected to contribute to a positive working environment through words and actions within the employee’s own department as well as other areas of the bank.
  • Employee will demonstrate good time management skills while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Adherence to compliance with laws concerning financial institutions is a must.
  • Employee will be expected to complete compliance and product knowledge assignments in a timely manner.
  • Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by business needs.
