Job description

This position exists to serve our members at the Cullman North Branch in Cullman, AL. This is a frontline position. A Member Experience Representative engages members by onboarding them with Alabama Credit Union by opening new accounts and providing a relationship-building experience; assist members with loan request along with assisting them with their financial transactions, involving giving and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments while providing opportunities for members to utilize additional products and services offered by Alabama Credit Union.
Duties include opening accounts, helping our members with their basic financial transactions (such as conducting deposits and withdrawals, posting credit card payments and balance transfers, receiving debit card and check orders, etc.) accurately and efficiently, and providing information about products and services to members in order to serve their financial needs. In return, those who hold this role get to work at one of the best places in the world.

Requirements
Minimum qualifications: a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service skills, cash handling, good computer skills (including the ability to use Microsoft Office products and web-based applications), the ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening, the ability to describe and sell products and services to members, the ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and above all, a desire to help others in your community.
Other preferred qualifications: one to three years of similar or related experience. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Physical Requirements: During the course of a normal workday, incumbents will sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, use gross and fine motor coordination for activities such as using standard office machines, using paper (to include counting cash, sorting and filling paper items, scanning, etc.), and occasionally lift and carry incidental items such as supplies.
