Job description

Location: Grandview Main Office / Remote

FLSA: Exempt

Summary

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform quarterly analysis of the Allowance for Credit Losses
  • Prepare monthly Board reports related to the credit quality of the bankโ€™s loan portfolio
  • Manage loan policy and technical exception reporting for both internal monitoring and loan review/audit purposes
  • Serve as Secretary to the Directors Loan Committee which documents discussion and approval of loan relationships greater than $5 million
  • Alternate voting member of the Credit Loan Group
  • Serve as member of the Credit Policy Committee
  • Manage communication between loan assistants, loan operations, and the Credit Department to ensure cohesive and accurate loan procedures are established and followed from initial application to the closing and booking of loans
  • Manage processes related to loan monitoring over life of loan for larger relationships including annual reviews, covenant testing, borrowing base tracking, file maintenance, etc.
  • Develop and continually update SouthPoint Bankโ€™s Loan Policy and Procedures to align with ever-changing regulations or market conditions
  • Coordinate meetings, projects, and continued improvement initiatives associated with loan department software platforms โ€“ i.e. Sageworks Abrigo, Horizon, ImageCentre, LaserPro, etc. to better ensure the user experience and bank compatibility
  • Review the accuracy and continually improve the uniformity of credit offering reports prepared by the Credit Department
  • Assist Credit Department with portfolio management and loan reviews
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education/Experience: Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Seven to ten years of experience in credit analysis and loan underwriting in a financial institution or equivalent experience in loan review, auditing, or financial analysis required.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft office products including Word and Excel.
