DESCRIPTION
Operations Coordinator
The coordinator for Operations will have a hands-on leadership role in all operational activities. Your role is to effectively manage and oversee events, warehouse procedures and manage team members. You will lead/train team members, and serve as the point of contact for operational duties, directing, coordinating, and planning to ensure that all Kona Ice of E Livingston & NW Oakland Counties Travelin' Tom's of Holly run efficiently while improving day to day operations
Responsibilities:
  • Manages the efforts of the team to include assigning daily tasks, communicating job expectations, supervising efforts, and educating on operational procedures, warehouse expectations and equipment.
  • Ensures event operations, warehouse processes, and equipment are to standards required through daily evaluation and upkeep, by monitoring processes, procedures and items needed to prepare and run all events
  • Coordinates, plans, and directs team to ensure that all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and properly stocked for daily events
  • Maintain inventory, including ordering flavors, cups, and other supplies.
  • Run errands as needed to facilitate event operations, including purchasing needed supplies, ice, tools, etc.
  • Maintain a system of operations and equipment maintenance
  • Serves as the first point of contact to support employees-if needed resolve personnel concerns and provide feedback
  • Works events and knows how to set up and take down each Ice unit - including unit preparation, end procedures.
  • Assist owners with hiring, training, coaching, and supervising
  • Assist in developing personal growth opportunities and recognition /reward programs for team members
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • Min. High School diploma; with 2 years of driving experience; additional qualifications within management/operations are a plus
  • Open availability/weekends required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Strong self-initiative, time management skills, and ability to problem-solve
  • Knowledge of with scheduling tools including Google, MKB, Microsoft
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
