Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Operations Manager leads and supports special projects, directs and coordinates, through operations and support department personnel, activities concerned with production of company product(s) and services. Confers with staff to establish standards, controls and budgets while maintaining optimum production and the utilization of human resources. Reviews and analyzes operational performance data for reports, both internal and external and identify abnormal situations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees daily operations of special projects within the Operations & Compliance departments
  • Provide full operations and leadership of team, and programs/projects and position it for success by anticipating and delivering on our client's needs
  • Liaison with top internal and external management, assisting in the development of strategic plans for operational activity and implement and manage operational plans
  • Collaborate with business development and strategy teams on initiatives to sustain long term business partners, including but not limited to program launches
  • Direct and guide the need for change for the purpose of improving methods by the use of measurable standards, realistic goals and accountability for improvement
  • Establish standards, controls, and budgets while maintaining optimum production
  • Troubleshoot production and operational issues and immediately enacts contingency plans as needed
  • Participates in making decisions and approvals to exercise control over vital elements of the organization and formulates such decisions based upon Company policy and other pertinent data
  • Supervising, training, coaching, and counseling personnel
  • Generate and present monthly/quarterly/yearly reports to executive management team

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • 5 years' experience in project/program management in the area of energy efficiency, building science, home renovation, construction management or related field
  • 3 years' experience effectively leading motivating, mentoring and developing teams
  • Experience with participating in RFQ and RFP processes
  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement
  • Comfortable with managing complex processes
  • Hands-on mentality, someone who is not afraid to jump in at any stage of a process when needed
  • Strong client service background
  • Creative thinker with the ability to identify innovative business solutions
  • Travel frequently, approximately 25%
