Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Graphic Designer (Multimedia) to join the Space Protection and Response Solutions team at Kirtland Air Force Base. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented professional who can work with sensitive information while developing high-quality visual products across multiple media platforms. The position supports mission-focused projects and demands strong technical, creative, and organizational skills.
What You Will Do
• Create and edit digital media content including images, videos, animations, and interactive products
• Develop original graphic designs for military and defense related projects
• Produce high quality print materials and UX/UI design elements
• Conduct photography assignments and perform post production editing
• Create 2D/3D graphics and animations for technical and operational presentations
• Maintain standards and readiness of the digital content production studio
• Develop and refine storyboards, original content, and multimedia products
• Create new materials from multiple source inputs and update previously produced content
• Coordinate all digital and physical content requirements associated with unique dossiers/legends
• Write, develop, edit, and publish content for digital platforms
• Track and maintain dossier/legend information, metrics, and product requests
• Manage and track project documentation and multimedia production metrics
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to meet content and design requirements
• Support development of capability brochures, pamphlets, and communication materials for labs and technical areas
What You Must Have
• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years' experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience (or equivalent per degree/experience substitution matrix)
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Experience with video editing tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and HTML
• Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse digital media capabilities
• Experience with:
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Video editing and audio editing tools
- 3D modeling software
- Web development tools
- Photography equipment
- Content Management Systems
Preferred Requirements
• Experience in the defense or government sector
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
