Yearout Mechanical is a New Mexico based company specializing in the installation of mechanical and process systems for the commercial, government, manufacturing and industrial communities of New Mexico and Texas. Yearout Mechanical is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Facilities Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, functionality, and continuous improvement of company facilities.
This role is responsible for managing facility-related requests from intake through completion, coordinating preventative maintenance programs, overseeing vendor services, performing minor building repairs, and supporting office improvement projects. The Facilities Operations Coordinator works closely with employees, vendors, Safety, Business Operations, and leadership to maintain safe, professional, and efficient workplace environments across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related requests and workplace support needs.
  • Communicate with employees, vendors, leadership, and support teams to ensure timely resolution of facility issues.
  • Provide responsive customer service and maintain a positive workplace experience.
  • Coordinate with Safety and Business Operations teams regarding facility access, security, emergency preparedness, and building compliance initiatives.

Facilities Operations & Maintenance
  • Manage facility requests from submission through completion, including prioritization, scheduling, communication, documentation, and closeout.
  • Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs, including paint touch-ups, drywall patching, ceiling tile replacement, furniture repairs, door adjustments, and basic plumbing or lighting repairs within skill level.
  • Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify and address maintenance concerns proactively.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional office, conference room, breakroom, storage, and common area environments.

Project & Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate facility vendors including janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, fire protection, pest control, waste services, security providers, and specialty contractors.
  • Obtain quotes, schedule service, meet vendors onsite, inspect completed work, and maintain vendor records and warranty documentation.
  • Support facility improvement projects, office renovations, furniture installations, workspace reconfigurations, office moves, and building upgrades.
  • Assist with workspace setup, signage installation, shelving, television mounting, whiteboard installation, and other workplace improvements.

Documentation & Administration
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and inspection programs.
  • Maintain accurate records including maintenance history, vendor information, warranties, building drawings, equipment manuals, asset inventories, access records, and project documentation.
  • Track recurring issues and recommend solutions to improve facility performance, reduce repair costs, and support long-term planning.
  • Support budgeting and reporting related to facility operations and maintenance activities.

Desired Skills and Experience
Education & Credentials
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training, trade certification, or associate degree in Facilities Management, Construction, Building Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities coordination, commercial building maintenance, property management, construction support, or a related environment preferred.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, managing maintenance activities, and supporting workplace operations.
  • Experience using work order, ticket management, or maintenance tracking systems preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills
  • General knowledge of commercial building systems, preventative maintenance, and facility operations.
  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, drywall repair, furniture assembly, and general building maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-through abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Additional Notes
  • Travel between company locations may be required.
  • Must be able to perform routine facility inspections and light physical work, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials or equipment as needed.
