What Is a Creative Marketing Job?

Creative marketing jobs focus on a variety of positions dedicated to helping promote content or a product, service, or brand. In this type of role, your responsibilities may include testing new marketing ideas on a consumer focus group, researching the market to determine the potential impact of an advertising campaign, and helping to coordinate a creative marketing strategy. Creative marketing is a broad term that covers many kinds of non-conventional advertising techniques, most of which are intended to highlight the unique selling points of the product, service, or content being sold. This often includes placing advertisements in places people do not normally expect them and working with art, sound, or emotional triggers. Creative marketing jobs should not be confused with advertising roles that focus on using traditional mediums (like television ads) in fun, artistic, or unusual ways.

What do creative marketers do?

Creative marketers develop and implement marketing strategies that focus on innovative content, branding, and advertising to engage target audiences. They often use tools like graphic design, social media, and content management platforms, and require strong communication and creative skills to produce compelling campaigns.

What is creative marketing?

Creative marketing is the process of using innovative ideas, strategies, and visual elements to promote products, services, or brands. It involves designing unique campaigns that capture attention, engage audiences, and differentiate a business from its competitors. Creative marketing often combines storytelling, design, and digital tools to make advertising memorable and effective. Professionals in this field work on everything from brand development to social media content, aiming to inspire customer loyalty and drive sales.

How does a Creative Marketing professional typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

Creative Marketing professionals frequently work cross-functionally with teams such as product development, sales, and digital marketing to ensure campaigns align with overall business objectives and brand messaging. Collaboration often involves brainstorming sessions, feedback rounds, and regular meetings to coordinate project timelines and deliverables. Building strong communication skills and adaptability is essential, as priorities can shift quickly based on market trends or campaign performance. This collaborative approach allows for more cohesive and impactful marketing initiatives, and provides opportunities to build relationships across the organization.

We are seeking a talented and innovative Creative Marketing Coordinator to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about design, branding, and storytelling in the home furnishings space.

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Creative Marketing Coordinator to support brand marketing initiatives across our portfolio of home furnishings brands, with a strong emphasis on product storytelling, digital marketing, retail support, trade shows, and experiential campaigns.
This role will play an important part in bringing our brands to life through compelling visual storytelling and engaging customer experiences across both residential and one of our contract divisions. The ideal candidate combines strong design fundamentals with a passion for interiors, lifestyle branding, and marketing-driven creative execution.
The Creative Marketing Coordinator will collaborate closely with marketing, merchandising, product development, sales, and retail partners to create visually impactful assets that support both B2B and consumer-facing initiatives across digital, print, social media, showrooms, retail environments, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Campaign Creative
  • Develop visually engaging marketing assets that support our home furnishings brands across digital, print, retail, social media, email marketing, and advertising campaigns.
  • Design branded collateral including brochures, catalogs, lookbooks, signage, POP displays, promotional materials, and retailer marketing kits.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling initiatives that highlight furniture collections, design inspiration, and lifestyle imagery.
  • Design creative assets and environmental graphics for trade shows, showroom installations, and experiential events.
  • Develop branded materials for tradeshow events, showroom activations, grand openings, product introductions, and customer presentations, including signage, invitations, social assets, presentation materials, and promotional graphics.

Contract Division Creative Support
  • Support the company's contract/hospitality division with specialized graphic design needs focused on commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and multi-family environments.
  • Design presentations, brochures, specification guides, digital lookbooks, and trade show materials tailored to designers, procurement firms, and contract dealers.
  • Create visual assets that communicate durability, performance fabrics, space planning solutions, and commercial design capabilities.
  • Assist with branded materials for contract sales initiatives, industry conferences, and commercial project showcases.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing Design, or related field.
  • 2+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in furniture, interiors, lifestyle brands, hospitality, retail marketing, or experiential/event marketing.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).
  • Experience designing for both print and digital environments, including large-format graphics and environmental design.
  • Understanding branding, typography, layout, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, and social-first content creation preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing branding, campaign design, marketing collateral, showroom/trade show creative, and digital content.
