The Position

Ashtel Studios is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Graphic Designer to embark on the development of our product/package design initiative. This candidate must have a strong background in packaging design, product design, and consumer products. The primary function of this role is to create brand statements through innovative packaging and digital assets. As we continuously expand our product offerings, finding the right candidate has become a top priority within our department. As a member of the Design Team, this individual should have a strong understanding of branding, alongside an adaptable mindset. This is a full-time in-house position that will report directly to the Creative Director.
What You'll Do

  • Develop visual concepts, graphics, and layouts for digital assets
  • Create exciting branding and logos for emerging collections
  • Design packaging from concept to production, ensuring deliverables are relevant and trend setting
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and strategies, integrating new resources/techniques where needed
  • Create print ready files for both existing and emerging products according to best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
  • Proof color and packaging structural integrity and engineering
  • Present design concepts and ideas to internal teams, and incorporate feedback into final designs
  • Ensure that all designs meet the Ashtel standard and align with project briefs and brand guidelines
  • Effectively communicate product strategy and features through package design/copy
  • Coordinate with Creative Director and cross-functional departments to ensure design accuracy
  • Organize files for projects meticulously for easy retrieval, reference, and sharing


Who You Are

  • Proven experience of at least 4 years as a Graphic Designer 
  • Minimum Packaging Design Experience – 2 years
  • Advanced knowledge of design software and tools; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), AI (Gemini, etc.) Microsoft Office Suite, and other graphic design software
  • Experience with 3D software a plus
  • Knowledge of licensing and branding
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to see the big picture while not losing sight of the details
  • Demonstrated skill in packaging, print and digital design
  • Strong asset management skills
  • Takes direction and constructive critiques well while also having the ability to work autonomously and provide self-direction when needed
  • High energy and positive attitude
