Job Description

As a Senior Scriptwriter on the Assassin’s Creed Franchise at Ubisoft Quebec City, you will play a key role in shaping the narrative vision of the game. With a strong focus on story, tone, characters, and dialogue, you will provide narrative leadership while working closely with quest and mission designers, narrative teams, and production. Reporting to a Lead Writer, you will contribute senior-level expertise within a highly collaborative writer’s room environment.

What you’ll do

  • Define, evolve, and uphold the narrative tone and voice of the game in alignment with the Creative Director’s vision
  • Write and oversee scripts, dialogue, and in-game narrative content including cinematics, missions, scripted events, and gameplay systems
  • Partner closely with quest and mission designers to shape story structure and player experience
  • Lead the development of key characters, voices, and relationships within the Assassin’s Creed universe
  • Drive and contribute to world building, including cultures, locations, and historical or fictional context
  • Provide narrative guidance and feedback to other writers within a writer’s room setting
  • Ensure narrative consistency, quality, and clarity across all story assets and reference documentation
  • Support narrative planning, integration, and collaboration with production teams and external partners when required
