As a Product Manager - Commercial Capabilities at IDeaS, you will be responsible for defining, delivering, and commercializing next-generation capabilities within the IDeaS commercial platform. This role focuses on helping hospitality organizations optimize commercial performance through innovative solutions that extend beyond traditional revenue management.

You will partner closely with customers, Product Strategy, Product Marketing, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Solution Success, and Commercial teams to identify market opportunities, define product requirements, and deliver capabilities that drive measurable business value.

The ideal candidate combines strong product management skills with an understanding of hospitality commercial operations, revenue optimization, analytics, workflow design, and enterprise software platforms. Success in this role requires balancing customer needs, business outcomes, market opportunity, and technical feasibility while guiding products from concept through commercialization and scaled adoption.

What you'll be doing...

Commercial Capability Strategy
  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned commercial capability areas.
  • Identify market opportunities, emerging trends, and customer challenges that can be addressed through new commercial capabilities.
  • Help evolve IDeaS from a traditional revenue management solution toward a broader commercial platform.
  • Translate customer and market needs into product investments that generate measurable business value.
Product Definition and Requirements
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from customers, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Create detailed product requirements, user stories, business workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Define end-to-end experiences spanning multiple user personas and business processes.
  • Drive prioritization decisions based on customer value, strategic alignment, adoption potential, and business impact.

Commercial Platform and Capability Development

  • Support the delivery and evolution of commercial platform capabilities including areas such as:

  • Multi-property management and orchestration

  • Portfolio performance management

  • Commercial intelligence and analytics
  • Business intelligence and reporting experiences
  • AI-assisted decision support
  • Workflow optimization and automation
  • Revenue strategy management
  • Merchandising, upsell, and ancillary revenue capabilities
  • Group, event, and function space optimization capabilities
  • Commercial planning and forecasting experiences
Customer Engagement and Validation
  • Engage directly with customers to understand workflows, priorities, and operational challenges.
  • Lead customer discovery initiatives to validate product direction and market demand.
  • Run alpha, beta, and early-adopter programs.
  • Partner with strategic customers to validate concepts and measure business outcomes.
Delivery and Execution
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Quality Assurance teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, customer requirements, and technical implementation.
  • Manage product delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Support release readiness, deployment planning, and adoption activities.
Commercialization and Go-To-Market
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Commercial teams to define packaging, positioning, and monetization strategies.
  • Develop business cases supporting new commercial investments.
  • Support sales enablement and customer-facing messaging.
  • Ensure clear articulation of customer value and differentiation.
Performance and Growth
  • Establish success metrics and key performance indicators for assigned products.
  • Monitor adoption, utilization, customer feedback, and commercial performance.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for enhancement and expansion.
  • Drive ongoing product evolution based on measurable outcomes.

What you'll bring to us...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Operations Research, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience in Product Management, Product Development, Strategy, Analytics, Consulting, or related software industry roles.
  • Experience defining and delivering customer-facing software products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into product requirements and capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with execution and delivery.
Preferred
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, airline, retail, commercial optimization, or revenue management industries.
  • Experience with SaaS or enterprise software products.
  • Experience defining workflow, analytics, or AI-enabled product experiences.
  • Familiarity with forecasting, optimization, pricing, revenue management, merchandising, or commercial operations.
  • Experience supporting product commercialization, packaging, and go-to-market activities.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
