The Content Strategistis responsible fordeveloping and leading content strategies, with a heightened focus on social media, that educate, inspire, and empower key audiences while advancing Blue Cross NC business and brand priorities. This role translates enterprise, campaign, and integrated planning strategies into clear, audience-driven content approaches across social media, blog content, newsletters, print, and other owned content channels.
The Content Strategist takes a holistic view of content, ensuring stories, messages, and information are delivered in the right formats, through the right channels, at the right moments to guide audiences from awareness to consideration to conversion.
This role partners closely with integrated teams including brand and campaign strategists, content creators, channel owners, and performance marketing partners to shape content that is intentional, integrated, and effective.

Senior Content Analyst -Social Media

  • Develop and lead social media-led content strategies that drive awareness, consideration, and conversion, with a strong focus on influencing sales and business outcomes

  • Translate business and brandobjectivesinto content pillars, messaging frameworks, and platform-specific approaches

  • Lead social content direction across organic and paid channels, ensuring alignment with broader owned channels (web, email, print, etc.)

  • Identifycontent opportunities that support brand reputation, education, sales enablement, and member engagement

  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, channel best practices, and audience needs whileoptimizingfor performance

  • Manage editorial calendars,identifycontent gaps, and support workflow execution using tools likeSproutSocial

  • Track andoptimizeperformance,leveragingdata and insights to continuously refine content strategy

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
