Job description

At Resideo, we're shaping the future of safer, smarter, more connected homes - and powerful visual content helps bring that vision to life. As Creative Manager, Visual Content & Storytelling, you will lead the strategy and creation of photography, video, motion, 3D, and emerging AI-enabled imagery that elevates our brands, supports our product stories, and connects with customers around the world.

This highly cross-functional role calls for a creative leader who can translate business priorities into meaningful, scalable visual content - partnering across marketing, product, sales, digital, agencies, and regional teams to deliver purposeful, on-brand assets that inspire action, drive consistency, and create lasting value across channels and customer experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy & Brand Storytelling

  • Define and lead visual content strategy across photography, video, 3D product visualization, and motion graphics, ensuring the creation of compelling, high-quality assets that effectively communicate product features, benefits, and brand stories across customer touchpoints.

  • Develop and maintain line-of-business content frameworks and channel-specific standards that enable consistent, scalable storytelling across product portfolios, including Comfort, Security, Safety, Water, and Software & Solutions.

  • Lead the planning and direction of visual content capture across a diverse portfolio of products and audiences, creating compelling hardware, software, lifestyle, professional contractor, and homeowner-focused assets that support marketing, sales, training, and digital experiences.

  • Direct global and regional photography and video capture strategies, balancing regional authenticity with the creation of scalable visual assets that can be leveraged across multiple markets and channels.

  • Guide creative agencies, production vendors, and external vendors, establishing clear expectations, overseeing performance, and ensuring high-quality deliverables that align to brand standards, budgets, timelines, and business goals.

Content Production & Operations

  • Partner closely with marketing operations and cross-functional stakeholders to identify upcoming content needs, translate business priorities into clear production requirements, and develop integrated plans that account for timelines, agency partners, internal resources, dependencies, and launch milestones.

  • Ensure content is strategically planned, captured, and produced to support print, digital, and social channel requirements, including platform-specific formats, aspect ratios, crops, motion treatments, and asset variations needed for omnichannel activation.

  • Oversee talent sourcing, release agreements, and usage rights management for photography and video productions, ensuring contracts, permissions, and renewals are maintained and aligned with legal requirements, campaign objectives, and asset lifecycle needs.

Photography & Videography

  • Shape and own the photography and video creative direction, establishing how product, packaging, lifestyle, and in-environment imagery bring the brand story to life with clarity, consistency, and creative impact.

  • Define content requirements for a range of video formats including brand storytelling, product demonstrations, installation tutorials, customer education, social content, campaign videos, and sales enablement assets.

  • Establish global video standards, ensuring consistency in creative quality, brand expression, production methodology, and asset reusability across regions and business units.

  • Manage end-to-end photoshoot and video production, including agency and vendor selection, creative briefing, pre-production planning, shot list development, location and talent coordination, on-set creative direction, budget oversight, post-production review, and final asset delivery.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, sales, digital, and customer experience teams to ensure photography and video content is planned, captured, and delivered to support multiple use cases, media formats, lines of business, channel requirements, and customer touchpoints.

Visual Content Activation & Digital Experiences

  • Ensure photography, video, motion graphics, 3D renderings, and AI-generated imagery are planned and produced to support omnichannel activation across web, retailer portals, social media, paid advertising, email marketing, digital product experiences, and customer education platforms.

  • Partner with digital and demand generation teams to optimize visual content formats, aspect ratios, motion treatments, and asset variations for channel-specific performance requirements.

  • Drive innovation in emerging visual content formats including short-form video, interactive assets, personalized content experiences, and evolving digital engagement channels.

  • Establish content scaling and localization best practices that enable photography, video, motion graphics, 3D renderings, and AI-generated imagery to be efficiently adapted and reused across regions, campaigns, channels, and customer experiences.

3D Visualization & Rendered Content

  • Establish creative standards and best practices for 3D product visualization, CGI rendering, and digitally generated imagery used across marketing, packaging, sales enablement, and customer experience channels.

  • Partner with product, marketing, and agency teams to prioritize and manage the creation of 3D product assets that support NPI launch readiness, content scalability, and global asset reuse.

  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage emerging rendering technologies and AI-enhanced workflows to improve speed, quality, consistency, and production efficiency.

AI Content

  • Partner in defining and evolving AI-enabled content imagery standards and governance, providing subject matter expertise that advances responsible, brand-aligned image creation across internal teams and agency partners. Serve as the primary resource for AI image guidance, creative best practices, and emerging capabilities.

Digital Asset Management

  • Improve the digital asset management tool and library by strengthening asset organization, metadata governance, usage rights, and partner accessibility. Establish clear structures and best practices to ensure assets are easy to find, current, and ready for use across teams.

  • Manage ongoing global DAM operations, ensuring assets are uploaded, maintained, properly tagged, and organized so teams can easily access current, approved content while driving cost efficiencies through asset reuse across regions, channels, and campaigns.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6-9 years of experience leading visual content strategy and production, with a strong background in photography, video, motion, 3D visualization, and brand storytelling across a multi-brand or multi-product portfolio.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing content strategies that span digital, social, campaign, and experiential channels with measurable brand impact.

  • Deep understanding of digital content formats and platforms - including social media, paid digital, email, and e-commerce with a data driven point of view on how to optimize content for each.

  • Experience overseeing or commissioning 3D product visualization, rendering, motion graphics, or other digitally rendered content formats.

  • Experience with digital asset management platforms and asset governance practices, including metadata standards, usage rights management, and asset lifecycle management.

  • Strong creative leadership skills with the ability to brief, direct, and evaluate agency creative output against strategic objectives and brand standards.

  • Excellent project management capability; experience with Workfront or similar tools for routing and managing multi-stakeholder creative workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Marketing, Product, Digital, and Sales teams in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

  • A strong creative eye and thorough understanding of brand systems, design language standards, and visual consistency across omnichannel environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

WE VALUE

  • Experience developing visual content within a global marketing organization, with an understanding of regional governance, compliance requirements, and market-specific considerations.

  • Familiarity with consumer technology, smart home, connected devices, or durable goods categories.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite for asset production.

  • Experience with DAM platforms such as Photoshelter, Adobe Experience Manager, Bynder, or similar, and an understanding of metadata governance and taxonomy best practices.

  • Understanding of image licensing, talent releases, content permissions, and usage rights management.

  • Understanding of AI-driven content creation tools and an interest in integrating emerging technologies into content production workflows.

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Photography, Film/Video Production, Art Direction, Communications, Marketing, or a related creative field; equivalent professional experience considered.
