Job description

As the Creative Content Manager, you will lead a team to build content calendars, direct multimedia production and drive golfer engagement. You will actively participate in the development of creative content strategies for the organization. This position will collaborate with business stakeholders to create new and/or improved avenues to increase visibility and promote the 2nd Swing brand. This role is located onsite in Eden Prairie, MN. No remote work will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creative content team in the execution of the content marketing plan by brainstorming and developing campaign themes, video ideas and visual assets that reflect the brand identity.  
  • Works closely with the marketing team to turn marketing strategies into organized content pipelines, setting production timelines and executing the plan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the strategic plan.
  • Maintain brand guidelines including deployment of environmental branding at all retail locations. 
  • Gather and analyze information to identify new customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identifies needs for new products and services and makes recommendations to leadership.
  • Composes develops evaluates and conduct training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies. 

    Required Qualifications:

    • Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services
    • Experience managing the marketing function including strategy execution and management of a budget
    • Experience leading a team of direct reports and including across an organization
    • Experience playing golf at a competitive or collegiate level 
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and priorities 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field. 
    • At least ten years of experience in Retail or Sporting Goods marketing.
    • In-depth knowledge of the golf industry.
    • Maintain a 10 handicap or better.
