Job description

Support the full-time staff of the Office of Spiritual Development by completing professional administrative tasks to enhance and fulfill the department outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Creative Student Worker (Videographer, Photographer, Graphic Designer) will help serve the departments within the Office of Spiritual Development - LU Stages, LU Shepherd, LU Serve, LU Send, and Liberty Worship Collective. They will be responsible for working closely with our Executive Creative Director to develop assets to be used in support of but not limited to: Convocation, Campus Community, social media channels, live musical performances, department events, and campus events. This person is kingdom minded, has a heart for the next generation, proactive in growing their skillsets, empowers others, highly collaborative, detail oriented, innovative, and enjoys problem solving.
  • Developing digital and/or print assets for Office of Spiritual Development during Convocation, Campus Community, and Liberty Worship Collective sets
  • Developing digital and/or print assets for Convocation & Campus Community guests
  • Developing digital and/or print assets for LU Stages, LU Shepherd, LU Serve, LU Send, and Liberty Worship Collective
  • Supporting our Graphic Designers, Photographers, Videographers & Content Creators with digital assets as needed
  • Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment within content specifications, deadlines, and budget restrictions
  • Staying up to date with Generation Z trends and industry standard creative tools
  • Ideating new initiatives & original content that would relate and connect with our target audience
  • Works closely with Executive Creative Director and Director of Operations & Communication
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
  • Preferably past experience in related field
  • Proficiency in operating gear related to specific skillset
  • Proficiency in Adobe programs related to specific skillset

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.

  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.

  • Computer skills, especially Microsoft office; ability to learn new skills quickly.

  • Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.

Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee's position.
