Description Frederick County Parks and Recreation Department (FCPRD) is dedicated to creating engaging, educational, and fun programs that bring people together and strengthen our community. We are looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals to join our team as part-time Parks & Recreation Instructors. Whether your passion is teaching arts and crafts, fitness, outdoor skills, or other recreational activities, you'll have the opportunity to lead programs that make a difference in participants' lives.

What You'll Do: As Parks & Recreation Instructors, you will: Motivating and guiding participants while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Preparing materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean learning environment.

Leading instructional classes, demonstrating proper techniques, and providing adaptations to meet diverse needs. Completing basic administrative tasks, including class planning and attendance tracking. Promoting upcoming programs and providing excellent customer service.

Staying up to date on trends and best practices in your subject area. Participating in occasional meetings, events, and professional development opportunities. What We're Looking For: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 18 years of age. Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays Supplemental Information PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires frequent walking, talking, writing, typing, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, climbing, balancing, lifting, pushing, pulling, sitting, and gripping.

Regular handling and lifting of equipment and materials up to 30 pounds is required. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings in variable weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to high and low temperatures, as well as wet and humid conditions.
