Associate/Senior Associate, Alternative Credit Investing

Ares Management is looking for a motivated Associate or Senior Associate to join their Alternative Credit team in Atlanta or New York. This role involves managing private investment portfolios and supporting deal teams. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment where your analytical skills will shine as you handle asset management tasks and communicate with portfolio companies.

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor and manage a portfolio of private investments.
  • Support deal teams with assigned investments.
  • Handle general asset management tasks like fund confirmations and monthly settlements.
  • Communicate frequently with portfolio companies.
  • Develop and run complex models for valuation and reporting.
  • Perform mark-to-market valuations and analyze asset-level trends.
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong communication, quantitative, financial, and analytical skills.
  • 2+ years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in structured finance/securitization.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including index & match, macros, and array formulas.
