Job Summary
The Temporary employee will support the Athletic Creative Services as a Creative Video Coordinator on the Statesboro Campus.
Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
  • Produce features, highlights, interviews, and cinematic hype videos that promote Georgia Southern Athletics' student-athletes, coaches, and staff
  • Edit and produce videos quickly and efficiently using creative storytelling mechanisms
  • Record, edit, and distribute weekly press conferences, along with postgame press conferences, to local, regional, and national media
  • Work closely with all internal departments and teams, including, but not limited to, Communications, GATA Productions, Marketing & Fan Experience, Ticketing, and Athletic Foundation
  • Organize footage by labeling and copying files to master drives
  • Assist the Director of Creative and Digital Strategy in content planning, recruiting, and overseeing student workers/interns

Shift Specifics
  • 25 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability
  • Shifts available Monday - Friday
  • Some evening and weekend hours required
  • Limited travel may also be involved

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects
  • Experience operating EOS and DSLR cameras/video cameras, lighting and audio kits
  • Knowledge of video production, including but not limited to shooting, non-linear editing, color correction and audio editing
  • Knowledge of college athletics content trends
  • Knowledge of current social media and digital platform trends and specifications
  • Experience interpreting, maintaining and executing established brand standards across all creative content
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments

Proposed Salary
$14,000
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
