Job description

Community Rehabilitation Center (CRC) has proudly served Jacksonville by providing culturally competent mental health and wellness services to minority populations for over 30 years. Our programs address substance abuse, HIV care, and primary healthcare, improving quality of life through compassionate and comprehensive care.
Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a variety of trades and be committed to maintaining a clean and secure environment for our clients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs maintenance services and repairs in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, and basic vehicle servicing across both facilities.
  • Relies on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish maintenance goals.
  • Cleans and maintains facility grounds and interiors to ensure safety and appearance.
  • Makes basic janitorial repairs and supports facility cleanliness as needed.
  • Answers night security calls and handles after-hours facility concerns appropriately.
  • Conducts regular inspections and identifies areas needing repair or attention.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors for specialized work.
  • Ensures all work complies with relevant safety standards and building codes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in general maintenance or a skilled trade.
  • Strong working knowledge of tools, equipment, and building systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies when needed.
