## Logistics Coordinator Food CPG

### About Us
We are a growing food CPG company focused on delivering high-quality products through efficient supply chain and distribution operations. As we continue expanding our business, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support the movement of products from overseas suppliers through domestic distribution networks.
### Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will manage and support inbound and outbound logistics operations, including ocean freight shipments, inland transportation, warehouse coordination, and distribution center deliveries. This role is ideal for someone with 35 years of logistics or supply chain experience within the food, beverage, or CPG industry who understands the importance of execution, communication, and operational efficiency.
### Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate international and domestic transportation logistics for imported food and CPG products
* Manage ocean freight shipments, including communication with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and overseas suppliers
* Track inbound containers, shipment schedules, delivery timelines, and inventory flow
* Coordinate inland transportation from ports to warehouses, distribution centers, and customer facilities
* Work closely with warehouse partners, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
* Monitor freight costs, shipping documentation, and logistics performance metrics
* Assist with customs clearance coordination and required import/export documentation
* Support inventory movement planning and replenishment schedules
* Troubleshoot shipping delays, carrier issues, and delivery discrepancies
* Maintain organized logistics records, reports, and shipment tracking systems
* Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and purchasing teams to support business needs
### Qualifications
* Bachelors degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
* 35 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management within food, beverage, or CPG industries
* Experience managing ocean freight shipments and international import logistics
* Familiarity with freight forwarders, customs brokers, drayage, and inland transportation coordination
* Understanding of warehouse operations and distribution center logistics
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics/shipping management systems
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
