  • Hiring Manager: Sriram Jambunathan

About Sanofi:

We're an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people's lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people's lives.

About the Job:

Join the team protecting half a billion lives every year with next-gen science, mRNA innovation, and AI-driven breakthroughs. In Vaccines, you'll help advance prevention on a global scale - and shape the future of immunization.

We are looking for a strategic, results-driven marketing leader to own brand strategy and drive initiatives across the COVID franchise, with accountability for precision marketing, financial performance, and cross-franchise growth.

The Associate Director is a strategic leader that is accountable for leading brand strategy, owning franchise initiatives, and driving high-impact marketing programs. This role requires the ability to lead and influence across market access, sales, finance, legal, global business units, and key stakeholders across the franchise ecosystem — including serving as the primary Sanofi lead within joint venture partnerships where applicable.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Marketing & Precision Marketing

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across HCP and consumer audiences, with emphasis on precision marketing approaches

  • Develop and operationalize actionable consumer journeys that map the end-to-end customer experience across critical touchpoints

  • Collaborate with GTMC (Go-To-Market Capabilities) and omnichannel enablement partners to support connected customer and consumer experiences

  • Partner with analytics and insights teams to activate consumer segmentation strategies that enable precision targeting and extract insights that can be of value to customers

Tactical Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with franchise priorities and business objectives

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination with franchise partners

  • Lead agency partners to develop, execute, and maintain high-quality marketing materials and programs

  • Lead governance of promotional materials through internal legal, regulatory, and medical review processes

Performance Management & Optimization

  • Define KPIs and measurement frameworks tied to business outcomes; drive continuous optimization based on performance data

  • Monitor campaign effectiveness through rigorous KPI tracking, analytics, and ongoing performance reviews

  • Establish learning agendas that apply consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and media effectiveness data to improve ROI

Budget & Agency Management

  • Steward and optimize assigned promotional budgets to maximize ROI and business impact

  • Maintain strong agency partnerships and manage marketing investments across media, creative, digital, and other vendors

  • Ensure agency ecosystem delivers excellence in execution, innovation, and value

About you:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and/or Biotech industries or agency, within marketing, sales, market access, strategy projects, project management, and/or operation roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA or related field)

  • Precision Marketing experience

  • Consumer products background strongly valued

  • Experience with Omnichannel (email outreach, consumer connections planning, journey mapping, touchpoint identification), audience segmentation and targeting and digital marketing (connected campaigns + analytics)

  • Experience with Vaccines, biologics, or injectables

  • Market access and Product launch experience

  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive results across matrixed organizations without direct authority

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen with ability to architect innovative solutions

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Experience managing creative agencies and third-party vendors to deliver exceptional results

  • Proven ability to navigate promotional materials through legal, regulatory, and medical review processes

  • Outstanding project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Strategic vision combined with tactical execution excellence

Why Choose us:

  • Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team.

  • Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it's through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally.

  • Enjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impact.

  • Take good care of yourself and your family, with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including high-quality healthcare, prevention and wellness programs and at least 14 weeks' gender-neutral parental leave.

  • Work at the forefront of AI-driven research, smart manufacturing, and groundbreaking mRNA platforms that are redefining the future of immunology.

  • Help protect half a billion people every year, contributing to one of the largest global vaccination efforts in healthcare.

  • Develop your career with access to mentoring, international mobility programs, and opportunities to grow across four continents.
