COUNTY COORDINATOR (Rankin County)
CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK
The County Coordinator will serve as the assistant to the County Administrator in their respective area of Region 8. They are responsible for following all directives and assisting in any and every way as requested. The County Coordinator will be evaluated on the same parameters as the County Administrator as to data, results of operations and success as defined by the Region 8 Administration. Administratively, they are directly responsible to the County Administrator in their respective area of Region 8. Clinically, they are directly responsible to the agency Outpatient Clinical Director.

of the County, including:

In accordance with the Expectations attached and any resulting Strategic Plan for Improvement:
- Delegate responsibilities for center activities to other mental health center staff under their supervision;
- Always represent Region 8 and Region 8 Administration in a positive manner;
- Ensure that policies and procedures are followed;
- Build morale and create unity in the workplace;
- Communicate well with staff and supervisors;
- Immediate response to consumer needs;
- Support Psychosocial Program- referrals and communication to ensure we meet new expectations of stability in the program with current attendance and increase daily average of attendance;
- Support Day Treatment Programs- referrals and communication to ensure we meet new expectations of stability in the programs with current attendance and increase daily average attendance;
- Provide consistent supervision with all staff according to Region 8 Policy;
- Ensure that staff follow all Mississippi Department of Mental Health and Medicaid guidelines;
- Ensure that all phone calls are returned at the end of each business day;
- Recommend promotions for staff who produce and support Region 8's philosophy and administration;
- Willingly and pleasantly carry out directives requested by the Executive Director and his designees;
- Immediately report any known or suspected Compliance or HIPAA violations to the County Administrator;
- Always lead by example and be a positive role model for staff;
- While this is an outpatient position, must be available 24/7, as needed, to support Crisis Response; and
- All other duties as assigned by Direct & Indirect Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in a Mental Health related field. Preferred 3-5 years of supervisory-related experience which includes Management, Human Resources, Training & Customer Service. Must possess or be working toward an independent license, or Dept of Mental Health Certification. Ideal candidate would preferably live in the county of service. Must have a valid Mississippi driver's license and use of an insured automobile to travel within the catchment area. Must pass Criminal Background Investigation.
