We are a driven organization and our team leverages technology to connect directly with law enforcement, firefighters, search and rescue teams, and members of the public. A 911 Dispatcher's job is much more than answering 911 calls and includes supporting responses with multiple agencies.
Lake County is the ninth most populated county in Montana. The County is known for its beautiful scenery, amazing mountain ranges, endless outdoor activities, and the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, Flathead Lake. 9-1-1 Dispatch is a rewarding career where our team has opportunities to make lasting differences in people's lives every day.
Lake County 911 Dispatch is a 911 communications center providing Law Enforcement, Fire & EMS services to the community and first responders.
We are hiring 911 Emergency Dispatchers to work all shifts within our centers.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to gather information from several sources at once and accurately disseminate that information to responders
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must pass a typing test
  • Positive attitude and ability to work through rapidly unfolding situations
  • Desire to assist Law Enforcement, Fire, Search and Rescue, and other agencies as well as members of the public
  • Desire to work with modern technology with a focus on providing a fantastic customer experience
  • Additional testing prior to interview will be mandatory through the Lake County Job Service

HOURS/DAYS: Will work varying shifts, typically 12 hours. May include nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a full-time, union covered position.
