Job description

We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Waldorf, MD. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills they need for everyday life. Apply and a recruiter will reach out with details.


Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
  • Active Maryland COTA license or multi-state license valid for Maryland required to start the assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required or must be obtained prior to start.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on COTA experience with geriatric patient population preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with ADL retraining, assistive device training, and caregiver education preferred.
  • Ability to follow documented treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 0800-1630.
  • Work days: Monday through Friday.
  • Typical weekly hours: 35 (5x8 schedule).
  • Floating: Candidate may be required to float to other facilities as needed.
  • Assignment length: 14 weeks.
