Job description

Position Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) 
Location: Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA) and Houston Public Schools (onsite)
Start Date: 20262027 School Year

Position Summary:
Minnesota Virtual Academy (MNVA), in partnership with Houston Public Schools, is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in grades PreK12. This position provides services in both virtual and onsite settings. The COTA will implement occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support student access, engagement, and success.

The position is for approximately 32 hours per week, during the school year.  The position be paid an hourly rate and benefits will be set forth in the Local 70 Agreement. 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Implement therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and families in both virtual and onsite environments
  • Travel to Houston Public Schools for onsite service delivery as needed
  • Support student engagement and participation in both in-person and virtual learning settings
