Job description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students across grades Pre-K through 12 as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist on a district-wide, school-based assignment. This full-time contract opportunity begins August 27, 2026, and is slated for approximately 12 weeks, providing important coverage for an FMLA maternity leave, with a strong possibility of extension past the initial assignment. If you thrive in dynamic educational environments and are comfortable with temporary assignments, this position is an ideal fit.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Active Connecticut COTA or OT license (CT DPH licensure and NBCOT certification, if applicable)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly desired
  • Familiarity with educational teams and supporting a diverse Pre-K–12 student population
  • Commitment to completing at least the full duration of the temporary assignment

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students across multiple campuses in the district
  • Collaborate closely with general and special education teams
  • Responsibly implement therapy goals and treatment plans set by supervising OT (for COTA candidates)
