PMA is currently seeking a cost control lead for an exclusive assignment on-site at a clientโ€™s facility in Indiana. In this role, you will perform project financial planning, administration, and forecasting duties for a data center project. As a key member of the project management team, you will analyze accruals, invoices, variances, and cost accounting for materials and labor, and develop and implement standard cost processes and practices to ensure design and construction projects are performed within approved budgets.ย ย ย 

Organizational Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end cost control, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with owner financial objectives.
  • Oversee vendor contracts and change order management to optimize capital expenditures while maintaining project quality and project schedule.
  • Review and produce project controls reports that provide clear, concise, in some cases summarized, and easily understood progress by all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and drive the contractorโ€™s adherence to the project controls specifications. Review, analyze and recommend solutions to any variances from the specifications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed cost models, benchmarks, and reporting dashboards to provide transparent, data-driven insights to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate financial risks, and enforce cost discipline across all project phases.
Position Qualifications
  • Bachelors in engineering, construction management, accounting, finance, or related field required.ย 
  • 10+ years of related experience is required.
  • Hands-on construction cost accounting experience is required.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills required.ย 
  • Demonstrated capability with applicable software programs required.ย 
  • Applicable professional certifications are preferred.ย ย

Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
