Job description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the QA/QC Manager, you will lead and maintain the electrical quality-control process from installation through final inspection and turnover. You will work closely with field leadership, electricians, project management, and client representatives to ensure each phase of the work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.

  • Manage and enforce the project QA/QC program for electrical scopes of work.
  • Review electrical installations for compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), project specifications, approved drawings, and established quality standards.
  • Conduct and coordinate routine field inspections, quality walks, and verification activities.
  • Identify deficiencies and non-conforming work; prepare non-conformance reports and track corrective actions through resolution.
  • Develop, maintain, and submit clear inspection reports, quality records, corrective-action documentation, and related project deliverables.
  • Manage punch-list processes and drive timely completion of corrective work before owner, client, and third-party inspections.
  • Coordinate with field supervision, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders to resolve quality concerns efficiently and professionally.
  • Lead, coach, and support QA/QC personnel and field crews to build a consistent culture of quality and accountability.
  • Use project-management and construction-documentation platforms to maintain accurate, current records. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or Autodesk Forma is strongly preferred.

WHAT YOU BRING

The successful candidate combines strong electrical field knowledge with disciplined documentation, sound judgment, and the ability to lead people constructively. This position is designed for someone who has earned credibility in the field, not solely through classroom training or certifications.

  • Proficiency in reading and writing English, including the ability to clearly communicate findings, prepare reports, and review project documentation.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on field experience in electrical QA/QC on commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Experience managing QA/QC programs on large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or similarly complex electrical projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC code compliance, electrical inspection processes, punch-list management, and quality-control standards.
  • Ability to review electrical installations, identify deficiencies, and verify corrective work for code compliance and quality.
  • Experience producing and managing inspection reports, non-conformance reports, corrective-action records, and other quality documentation.
  • Prior leadership experience managing QA/QC teams, inspectors, or field crews.
  • Willingness and ability to work on site in Michigan City, Indiana for the duration of the project.

Preferred qualification: OSHA 30 certification.
