Our McKesson Brands private label business is seeking a Product Development Coordinatorto join our team in Richmond, VA. Job Summary

The Product Development Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the growth and optimization of McKesson Brands private label portfolio. This role is responsible for developing insights and analytics tools that inform product strategy and portfolio prioritization. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working behind the scenes to support various cross-functional teams within McKesson Brands and who is analytically driven, intellectually curious and motivated to influence business outcomes through data.

Hybrid Work Expectations

  • Hybrid rolebased in Richmond, VA
    • Expected onsite presence for company meetings and collaboration sessions
  • Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • This role is hourly, with small opportunities for overtimeeach month based on business needs

Compensation & Incentive

  • Hourly Rate: $32.00 ($66,560) - $35.00 ($72,800) per hour
  • Annual Incentive: 5%
  • Eligible for standard McKesson benefits and career development opportunities

Key Responsibilities

Market & Product Insights

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand product category dynamics, product & pricing positioning and competitive threats

  • Translate data into clear insights that inform strategic decisions

  • Support positioning of private label products relative to other competitive products and national brands

Private Label Product Growth & Portfolio Insights

  • Analyze product portfolio performance and trends to identify opportunities to grow McKesson Brands private label business

  • Support development of product and category strategies grounded in data and market insights

  • Identify gaps, risks and growth opportunities across the portfolio

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Sourcing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams

  • Serve as a decision-support partner, providing analytics that inform cross-functional business decisions

  • Help align teams around data-driven insights and consistent metrics

Project & Process Support

  • Support the development and maintenance of a McKesson Brands analytics hub for key business metrics and strategic questions

  • Develop reusable analytics tools, including scorecards, dashboards, and business-case templates to enable consistent, high-quality decision-making

  • Conduct ad hoc and recurring analyses that support: Product portfolio strategy, product category intent and prioritization, preparation of quarterly updates for meetings

  • Assist with financial modeling, including pricing, cost, and margin assumptions

  • Ensure recommendations are grounded in quantitative analysis and structured logic

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience supporting product development, project coordination, or cross-functional teams

  • Strong interest in product development and healthcare-related products

  • Enthusiastic learner with a strong desire to grow within product development

  • Experience using analytical capabilities and critical thinking for problem resolution

  • Proven successful in managing competing priorities in a project driven environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Innovative mindset with curiosity around how products are developed and launched
