We are seeking applicants for Maintenance Technician in our San Bernardino corrugated facility located at 879 E. Rialto Ave San Bernardino, CA 92408

 

Pay Rate: $31.00 - $46.00 per hour based on skills

PCA provides up to 100 paid training hours per year to help technicians advance through the progressive skill levels and achieve higher pay.
 

Technicians supply their own basic hand tools. PCA provides a tool stipend (or replacement) to help technicians maintain basic hand tools. PCA provides all special and heavy tools.
 

PCA provides Safety shoes and Safety Glass stipends
 

 

SUMMARY

  • Responsible for maintaining all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.
     

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.
  • Must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment by performing preventive and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts and is able to work on call as needed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year(s)  Industrial Maintenance experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery”.
  • Basic Electrical experience and troubleshooting ability
  • Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical drawings.
  • Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, stoop, and bend.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft and Windows products
  • Experience with PLC programming, especially Siemens and Allen-Bradley a plus
  • Experience with and knowledge on machine control systems
  • Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting salary for position:  $31.00 - $46.00per hour. 
  • Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
  • Paid Vacation:  2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. 
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
