Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Transportation Management:
    • Arrange and schedule deliveries with customers and truck drivers
    • Track deliveries in real-time and proactively address any delays or issues.
    • Load product onto trucks night before delivery
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify potential shortages or surpluses.
    • Coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
    • Manage warehouse space effectively to optimize storage and minimize handling costs.
  • Logistics Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics department.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and develop strategies to improve overall logistics performance.
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices and new technologies related to logistics.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a logistics or transportation role. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • 2+ years of Experience operating forklifts
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with office personnel and customers
  • Other:
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
