Job description

SUMMARY:

Our client, a well-established and growing law firm, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its team in New Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney to develop hands-on litigation experience in a collaborative and supportive environment. The Associate Attorney will manage a workers' compensation caseload from intake through resolution. This role involves direct client interaction, case strategy development, and representation at hearings and depositions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Manage a caseload of workers' compensation matters independently with appropriate supervision

- Conduct client consultations and provide legal guidance

- Develop case strategies and evaluate claims

- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence

- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations

- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers

- Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and other stakeholders

- Maintain accurate case files and ensure timely case progression

QUALIFICATIONS:

- J.D. from an accredited law school

- Licensed to practice law in New Hampshire (or ability to obtain promptly)

- 2-4 years of experience preferred; strong entry-level candidates will be considered

- Experience or interest in workers' compensation or civil litigation

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Team-oriented with a high level of professionalism and integrity
