The Innovation Portfolio Strategy Advisor utilizes ideas, identifies innovation opportunities, and translates ideas into actionable and profitable business. The Innovation Portfolio Strategy Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution Support
  • Partner closely with the Director and senior leaders to support development and execution of the organization's strategy, including vision, mission, annual plans, OKRs, and long-range priorities.
  • Translate high-level strategy into clear initiatives, workplans, and artifacts that enable execution.
  • Support cross-functional dependency management for initiatives spanning multiple teams or business units, proactively identifying risks, tradeoffs, and misalignments.
  • Influence leaders to reassess assumptions, clarify priorities, and align work to strategic objectives.

Portfolio Management
  • Support the design and day-to-day operation of portfolio management processes that ensure strategic alignment and transparency across initiatives.
  • Help maintain and evolve the portfolio structure, intake processes, and prioritization frameworks.
  • Analyze portfolio data to surface insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations for leadership decision-making.
  • Partner with leaders to continuously improve portfolio practices as priorities and business needs evolve.

Operating Cadence & Business Rhythm
  • Own and execute repeatable operating processes that support the organization's planning and execution rhythm, including team meetings, planning cycles, budget and headcount planning, and performance check-ins.
  • Work with leaders and sub-teams to assess operational maturity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and ways of working.

Internal & Leadership Communications
  • Develop and compile clear, concise updates on business priorities, progress, and risks to drive cross-team awareness.
  • Support the planning and execution of leadership meetings, all-hands sessions, and key cross-team forums.
  • Partner with the Director and leadership team to reinforce organizational culture, working norms, and expectations.
  • Help execute initiatives that improve transparency, associate engagement, and organizational connectivity.

Executive Communications & Materials
  • Support preparation for high-visibility leadership forums (e.g., enterprise leadership meetings, board-level discussions).
  • Draft, review, and refine executive-ready materials to ensure clarity, quality, and alignment with strategic narratives.
  • Manage timelines, inputs, and feedback cycles with presenters and stakeholders.
  • Uphold consistent branding, messaging, and content quality standards across materials.

Measurement, Insights & Progress Tracking
  • Help define and track meaningful success metrics, KPIs, and outcomes tied to strategic priorities.
  • Maintain systems and reports that provide visibility into work in flight, especially cross-functional or strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze data to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities, and recommend actions to accelerate progress.
  • Continuously refine measurement approaches in partnership with leadership.

Knowledge Management & Continuous Learning
  • Support the execution of a knowledge management approach that captures learnings, best practices, and strategic insights.
  • Help establish processes and tools that enable documentation, reuse, and institutional learning.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and leaders to promote standardization and continuous improvement.

People Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and mentoring to a small group of team members and/or shared resources.
  • Lead by example through strong prioritization, communication, and delivery.
  • Support onboarding, skill development, and performance feedback in partnership with the Director.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong working relationships across analytics, business, and enterprise functions.
  • Act as a connector and problem solver across teams, helping resolve conflicts and align on shared priorities.
  • Represent the strategy and enablement perspective in cross-functional planning and execution forums.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$115,200 - $158,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
