Job Title

Corporate Development Intern

Job Purpose: To gain real world experience as a Corporate Development intern supporting enterprise acquisition and divestiture, strategy, and business transformation projects.

Responsibilities:

Provided opportunities to work in key areas such as:

  • Acquisition and divestiture projects

  • Long-range planning and strategy development

  • Corporate venturing and external innovation

  • Enterprise project services

  • Enterprise business process transformation

This position provides learning opportunities and interaction across the entire company, including exposure and presentation opportunities to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028 with a major in Accounting, Finance, Marketing or a related field.

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently to drive results.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Effective in communications with senior management.
  • A pattern of strong goal setting and accountability.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Ability to make recommendations with limited information.
  • This position will require access to and/or the utilization of a personal motor vehicle to get to and from the workplace.

The Hormel Foods internship program is designed with your growth in mind. As an intern, you'll gain hands-on experience working on meaningful projects that support real business initiatives while developing the skills and confidence needed to launch your career.

Duration

Our summer internship program runs 10-12 weeks and starts in late May and ends in early August.

Co-ops may be available depending on our business needs. The co-op program duration is typically 6-8 months and can run from early January through early August OR late May through early December.

Hours

This is a temporary, full-time, hourly position. Interns can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week and may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.

  • This is an on-site position based out of our corporate headquarters in Austin, MN.
  • Hormel Foods does not currently offer remote internship opportunities.

  • Competitive hourly pay of $24.50  paid on a weekly basis
