Job Details:

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Position ranges from Maintenance Generalist 01 to Maintenance Generalist 08. Hourly rates range from $24.55 to $35.10. Position requires overtime and weekends. Salary offer is based on individual knowledge and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Position is responsible for maintaining equipment in good working condition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs

Perform emergency mechanical or electrical repairs

Perform preventing maintenance

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Plant equipment

Minimize downtime due to equipment failure

Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift

Handle all mechanical problems that may arise in a fast-paced environment

Ensure work area is clean at all time

Record keeping and attention to detail

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ability to push, pull, and lift 20 pounds repeatedly during shift

Ability to push, pull and lift 75 pounds occasionally

Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day

Must work in cold/hot temperatures ranging from -20 to 100 degrees

Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping

Frequent overhead work

Basic Math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements

Must be able to work overtime and weekends

Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification

Must have a minimum of 1 year of mechanic work experience or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program

Basic Electrical experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 1 year of mechanic work experience (can be a combination of employers) or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
