School Nutrition Worker - Clark Wilkins Elementary School, 4 hours per day
The School Nutrition Worker helps ensure students and staff have all the necessary items needed to enjoy their meal and facilitates an efficient dining environment. This position reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision and following established Standardized Operating Procedures:
  • Perform any duties or tasks communicated by the Kitchen Manager.
  • Set up and breakdown serving stations in correlation to the daily menu.
  • Prepares, assemble, and replenishes food and beverages.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
  • Has a positive and friendly attitude towards students, staff, fellow coworkers, and management.
  • Maintains proper personal hygiene and adheres to dress code.
Requirements:
  • Ability to adapt and work well with a changing work environment. Works well under pressure.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and is able to transport food safely from Wilkins Elementary to Clark Elementary.
  • Must be able to be self motivated. Will be working alone for up to two hours at a time while serving lunch at Clark Elementary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull heavy carts and racks, be able to work in varied work environment temperatures- example: Put away orders in the freezer, or work in a hot kitchen during spring/summer months.
  • Must be able to communicate with the public and have good customer relations' skills.
  • Desirable- high school graduate or have the equivalent GED.
  • Must be able to follow a standardized recipe.
