Job description

Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse(RN)
Specialty: Occupational Health Nursing / Emergency Care
Place of Work: Fort Worth, TX
Site: Bureau of Engraving and Printing - Western Currency Facility (WCF)
Exact Location: 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131
Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of 4 more optional extensions
Pay Rate: $40 - $50/hr on W2

Start Date: September 1, 2026
Shift Schedule:
Position 1: Evening Shift (Mon-Fri)
Position 2: Midnight Shift (Mon-Fri).
Weekend coverage on an as-needed basis for day, evening, and midnight shifts.

Shifts Needed Per Month: Full-time; approx. 20-22 shifts per month per position
License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Fort Worth, Texas (any state license considered)
Certifications:
• Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
• NIOSH Spirometry Training Program (16 hours, every 5 years)
• BLS

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum; BSN or higher preferred
Experience: 2+ years of clinical nursing experience; occupational health or emergency care experience preferred
Special Skills:
• Audiometry and spirometry screening
• Workers' compensation case management
• Emergency first response (CPR/AED)
• Proficiency in Cority Occupational Health and Safety software and Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to monitor health concern mailboxes and escalate urgent matters
Credentialing /Onboarding: 6 to 8 weeks
Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency treatment, first aid, and occupational health services during assigned shift
• Administer audiometry, spirometry screenings, immunizations, and allergy injections
• Act as nurse case manager for workers' compensation cases
• Assist with fitness-for-duty examinations, pre-employment physicals, and medical surveillance exams
• Respond to emergencies as first responder (CPR/AED certified)
• Administer vaccinations and medications per physician orders; document all medications provided
• Inform injured employees of rights under FECA; complete required OWCP forms (CA-1, CA-2, CA-16)
• Document and maintain employee health records in Cority software per HIPAA and Privacy Act requirements
• Assist Medical Director with monitoring local, state, and federal pandemic mailboxes; report urgent matters
• Refer employees to appropriate outside care when treatment exceeds facility capability
• Document refusals of treatment or transportation; advise employees of risks
• Wear professional medical attire at all times within the facility
• Work with web-based systems, medical software, Cority software, and Microsoft Office Suite
