Coordinator, Audio

The Conde Nast Global Audio team is seeking an organized, proactive Coordinator, Audio to join our world-class podcast network in New York. This role is central to driving operational efficiency, cost management, and seamless production logistics across our iconic brand portfolio. Working closely with editorial, production, and ad revenue teams, the Audio Coordinator maximizes internal resources, streamlines scheduling, and protects ad revenue through accurate campaign delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate studio and recording schedules across multiple brand teams to ensure back-to-back production efficiency and minimize reliance on external day-players.

  • Oversee physical production support, including coordinating video production equipment rentals, drafting call sheets, and managing on-site logistics for podcast sessions.

  • Onboard freelance talent and crews using administrative platforms (e.g., HelloTeam/Media Services), process production invoices, and code expenses accurately against production budgets.

  • Partner with marketing and revenue teams to sync editorial calendars with sponsorship opportunities & conduct quality control on upcoming episodes in the CMS, ensuring precise ad placement to ensure proper campaign delivery.

  • Edit simple host-read advertisements, freeing up senior audio engineering staff for complex sound design and main show mixing.

  • Assist with ad-hoc operational, administrative, and production needs across the audio department.

  • Additional duties as required

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in podcast production, studio management, or digital media operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Audio Engineering, or similar, or equivalent work experience.

  • Foundational knowledge of digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Pro Tools, Ableton, or Adobe Audition for basic editing, splicing, and formatting.

  • Exposure to podcast Content Management Systems (CMS) and dynamic/host-read ad insertion platforms (e.g., Megaphone, Omny, Dovetail, or similar).

  • Basic understanding of video and audio production hardware, gear rentals, and physical studio setups.

  • A proactive, cost-conscious mindset focused on optimizing studio time, equipment, and crew allocation.

  • Ability to diplomatically manage competing deadlines and studio demands across multiple brand teams and revenue partners.

  • Strong organizational skills to balance immediate production emergencies with routine administrative workflows.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $65,000 - $72,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
