HIRING IMMEDIATELY: COOLER MANAGER IN ISLANDIA, NY

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Cooler Manager to join our team in Islandia, NY. This individual will be responsible for providing managerial support to the Cooler Department and assisting in other departments as needed. Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Ranging from $70,000 - $75,000/year
  • Full Time Schedule
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Located in Islandia, NY

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises the associates in the Cooler Department, Shipping/Receiving, and office clerks of the warehouse
  • Assigns duties to employees and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations
  • Schedules and performs periodic evaluations of employees as dictated by the appropriate HR policies
  • Assist other warehouse floor supervisors and associates in warehouse policies, departmental procedures, and job duties
  • Follow up on customer concerns/complaints, examines discrepancy reports and resolutions to restore and promote good public relations with the client
  • Overall responsibility for the supervision of good sanitation practices
  • throughout the Cooler department and warehouse/offices
  • Supervises the practice of seal policies placed on loads
  • Promotes a positive work environment while also being a team builder
  • Work closely with staff to ensure that quality and productivity requirements are maintained and communicated to each associate
  • Must be flexible and able to work any shift in support of business needs

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator who can implement and supervise the Cooler department
  • High level of computer and WMS system literacy
  • Some college level training is preferred but not necessary so long as there is experience in warehouse supervision and some experience in the wholesale industry preferred
  • Some college level management education and/or 2 years warehouse supervising in wholesale industry
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows and Office software
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce
  • Lifting up to 10lbs
  • Sitting at a computer for long periods of time
  • Climbing stairs
  • Ability to work in a Distribution Center environment with a variation of temperatures
