Job description

Job Details:

This position is responsible for entry level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Tasks:

Sanitors will support the cleaning operation for a Tyson Foods production facility.

Breaking down and reassembling production equipment

Moving Production Floor Equipment, Tables, and Bins to accommodate cleaning process.

Pressure Washing Production Lines

Soap and Scrub Equipment

Sweeping/Squeegee Floors

Other tasks include standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting and reaching.

Candidate must be willing to lift, push and carry in many areas on the production floor (weight depends on area ranging from 15 - 50 pounds).

Candidates must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines; must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; must be willing to be cross trained and moved to other areas as needed and must be willing and able to stand for 8 - 12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme hot or cold environments ranging from 50 to 120 degrees.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience is not required.
  • Must have effective communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
