About the Role
As a Cook, you'll be an essential part of our mission to provide safe and reliable maritime services. You'll work alongside a dedicated team that values professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare three meals a day and healthy snack and quick meal options for crew members. Prepare grocery orders and supply requisitions.
  • Maintain inventory for voyage.
  • Maintain galley equipment as needed; a general maintenance checklist is provided explaining what equipment needs repair, replace or new parts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the galley and food storage.
  • Participate and work on deck as necessary.
  • Assist with general maintenance and housekeeping onboard tug and deck.
  • Proper food handling to ensure food quality, freshness and food safety. Receptive to any preferences or allergies onboard.

What We're Looking For
  • Valid US Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC) (Able Bodied Sea farer (Seaman) endorsement or Ordinary Seaman (OS), AB limited with a valid STCW).
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), Passport & USCG issued Medical Certificate. Serve Safe certificate.
  • Previous experience preparing meals onboard a vessel.
  • Must join the IBU (Inland Boatman's Union) within 30 days of hire.
