Job description

Opening your heart and lending a helping hand can make a world of difference for families facing medical challenges. The Aspirus Family House offers a unique opportunity to provide comfort, kindness, and support when it is needed most.

The Aspirus Family House is a beautiful, welcoming home-away-from-home for patients traveling long distances for specialty medical care and for family members staying close to loved ones receiving treatment. Our guests are often navigating difficult and emotional circumstances, and a caring volunteer can help make their stay a little brighter.

As a volunteer, you can help create a warm and inviting atmosphere by:

  • Visiting with guests in common areas and offering friendly conversation
  • Assisting with changing beds and preparing rooms for new guests
  • Helping with light cleaning and basic household tasks
  • Organizing and restocking supplies
  • Keeping the house comfortable, welcoming, and well cared for

Love to cook or bake? Share your talents by preparing homemade meals, treats, or baked goods in your own kitchen and delivering them to the Family House. A home-cooked meal is a simple gesture that can bring comfort and encouragement to guests during a stressful time.

Whether you have a few hours to lend a hand, enjoy meeting new people, or simply want to give back to your community, your time and compassion can make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families staying at the Aspirus Family House.
