Event Server

The Event Server provides the best possible handling of the guest's needs by serving them in an efficient, professional, and hospitable manner. The best possible handling of service is provided by working in cooperation with the kitchen, bartenders, cast members, hosts and all other employees. The Event Server Maintains a positive attitude while delivering authentic service.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Set up private events based upon the instructions of the manager
  • Follow all service standards in maintaining our high level of guest service
  • Breakdown of all areas and proper storage of all equipment
  • Understand and follow through with all policies and procedures of the special events and live demonstration department and the Key West Cooking School organization
  • Work as a team with all other servers and staff

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently over long periods of time and in groups within the scope of established rules and regulations.
  • Ability to display a positive, energetic, and outwardly friendly attitude towards guests.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Demonstrate a high level or organization skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Two plus years of high-volume serving experience is required.
  • A food safety certification program is required to be completed before being able to serve food or alcohol, which may include a food handler card.

Other Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing
  • Have a passion for helping people and make their Key West experience a memorable one.
  • Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certifications.
