Responsibilities for a Cook:

  • Review and prepare meals in accordance with planned menus

  • Assist in food preparation for special meals, parties etc.

  • Maintain kitchen, food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition always  

  • Ensure all food procedures and safety regulations are followed in accordance with established policies

  • Assist in inventory and storing food supplies as necessary

  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications for a Cook:

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Serve Safe certification preferred

  • Ability to comply with departmental safety policies and procedures

  • Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements of the position
