We are currently seeking a full-time Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to join our team in our Jackson, MS office. Ideal candidates will have at least 3-5 years of related work experience. Prior law firm experience is preferred. Candidates should be professional, motivated, organized and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Typing/transcription skills required.
Responsibilities include:
  • Review/Log incoming mail using ProLaw and its dockets, e-mail mail to attorney and paralegal
  • Add Dockets/Tasks for Case Management Orders/Responsive Pleadings
  • Transcribe pleadings, discovery, letters, client reports at attorney's request
  • Proof/format pleadings, letters, etc. prepared by attorneys
  • Document conversions (PDF to Word)
