Required immediately, our Edmonton Branch is seeking a Full Time Laminate Countertop Installer - Sub Contractor
FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. FLOFORM manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
The successful candidate will have:
- Have related education and/or previous experience in a similar industry
- have experience in construction, masonry or trades
- Basic understanding of plumbing an asset
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and respect
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Be able to lift upwards of 200 lbs. assisted
- Work with a team and make sound decisions
- Have valid driver’s license and clean criminal record
Duties and Responsibilities
- Correctly install laminate/solid surface countertops on site, while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Cleanly remove the existing countertop and plumbing if required
- Respond to customer inquiries and/or concerns while on the job site
- Contacts office to resolve any concerns that cannot be addresses on the job site
- Troubleshoots technical problems related to the installation as they arise
- Works as closely to the schedule as possible and contacts customer if running behind
- Maintains company vehicle interior and exterior to the Companies standards
- Regular bending, kneeling and twisting
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Regular local travel to clients homes and occasional out of town work
- Other duties as assigned
